Kent Sportcast (Rough Common ) Results 27th September 2009.
Conditions – Wind W-NW variable 0-3mph, Dry. Sunny - Casters. 12
With the “ boys” away casting for the club at Huntingdon in the annual UKSF Clubmans event,
the numbers casting at Rough Common were less than normal.
Casting in conditions that were far from easy good distances were recorded by those left “holding the fort”.
Highlight of the day was Whitstable angler Steve Swan obtaining a PB of 199.20 casting for the first time in a tournament. Steve started the day using his Diawa Sandstorm reaching distances of 150 odd metres. Changing his casting rod to a loaned Dymic LT Bullet his distances soon increased dramatically. Well done Steve!
Also well done to Lee Hover, Steve Brookman and Paul Chapman for their PBs.
Our Wednesday evening practise has now stopped for this year owing to the darker evenings. Hopefully they will start again next year as soon as the lighter evenings allow
